Phnom Penh (FN), August 27 - Over three million international tourists visited Cambodia in the first six months of 2018, an increase of 12.7% compared to same period in 2017, according to Ministry of Tourism's report on Monday.

Chinese tourists ranked the first with up to 931,765, followed by 200,350 Lao, 133,665 American, 97,700 Japanese, 85,910 French, 85,850 Malaysian, and 84,845 British.

The most attracted tourist destination is the capital city Phnom Penh, 1.64 million, followed by Siem Reap 1.35 million, coastal areas 532,470, northwest ecotourist site 42,990, and Preah Vihear 31,370.

The report added that over 964,000 Cambodians traveling abroad within the first six months of 2018, an increase of 14.5%.
