Phnom Penh (FN), Sept. 5 - Cambodian gold medalists of Asian Games 2018 Khan Jessa and Saly Ou Moeut, on Wednesday, visited the American University of Phnom Penh’s (AUPP)state-of-the-art campus and FIFA-standard soccer field in the capital city and shared their experiences with AUPP students, faculty, and management team.

“Congratulation to the two for winning gold medals for Cambodia; it reflects that Cambodia has successful candidates for international competitions and is building a base for future expansion into many sports,” said AUPP President Kenneth Dunn.

Accompanied by Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC), both Cambodian athletes pledged to bring more gold medals to Cambodia in the upcoming international sport events, especially the 30th SEA Games in the Philippines in 2019.

“The medal is not for myself but for Cambodia as a whole,” Jessa told AUPP students. "I hope to be involved in other games in the future, representing the Kingdom of Cambodia, with the commitment to take additional gold medals for our country.”

Saly Ou Moeut pledged in front AUPP students to train harder and bring more gold medals for Cambodia in order to promote Cambodia’s prestige on the international stage.

Educationally speaking, AUPP is actively providing quality education in preparing students for academic and professional success both locally and abroad. AUPP encourages students and their guardians to promote the Cambodian sport sector in the pursuit of national pride in the cause of peace and the development of Cambodia.

AUPP does not only provide the best educational services in Cambodia, but students can enjoy many club activities, particularly the sport club, that allow students to refresh their minds and souls after classroom activities. AUPP’s world-class campus features sports centers, housing for students, and many other facilities as they would find at American universities.
