Phnom Penh (FN), Feb 6 –The U.S Embassy in Cambodia clarified that there is no visa exemption for Cambodians. All Cambodians are required to request for visa before entering the United States.

The clarification was made after the U.S. Embassy has seen fabricated news reports regarding visa-free travel to the United States for Cambodian citizens, according to the U.S Embassy’s press release adding that these reports are false.

“Cambodian nationals are still required to apply for visas to visit the United States, no matter how long they intend to stay. For the most up-to-date information regarding U.S. visa requirements for Cambodians, please visit the official U.S. Embassy website”, according to the statement released on Monday morning.
