Banteay Meanchey (FN), Jan. 21 – Two Korean drug ringleaders were arrested by Cambodian police on 20 Jan. at the country’s border checkpoint with Thailand.
The arrests were made following the request from INTERPOL, the police said.
The two Koreans were identified by the police as Lee Taechwa and Kim In Bae.
According to the police, the transnational drug dealers were arrested at Poi Pet border-crossing in Banteay Meanchey province by Anti-Drug Police Department in collaboration with Poipet International Checkpoint.
The Anti-Drug Department is now just awaiting instructions from the Ministry of Interior on further steps to be taken in regard of the two criminals, added the police officer.
