PHNOM PENH, Jan. 21 (FN) – Cambodian foreign ministry announced Wednesday that Japan Airlines will start direct flight between Tokyo and Phnom Penh later this year.
In a statement released by foreign ministry, it said All Nippon Airways (ANA) will start direct flight on Sept. 1, 2016 between Tokyo (Narita) to Phnom Penh and Phnom Penh to Tokyo.
As planned, ANA will use B787-8 (C42/Y198) and will depart from Tokyo at 10:50 am and from Phnom Penh at 10:50 pm.
The statement said it hoped following the direct flight that will begin later this year, the number of tourists between the two countries will be boosted.
According to statistics provided by Ministry of Tourism, it showed that 170,791 Japanese had visited Cambodia from Jan. through Nov. 2015.
