Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 21 – Phnom Penh Municipal Court on Thursday sentenced a Singaporean man to 30 years in prison and fined him 60 million Riel (about 15,000 USD) for smuggling drug of over half a kilogram, bounded for Australia in 2014.
The convictions also imposed on other two Cambodian conspirators, one of them was imprisoned 30 years and fined 60 million riel, while another one was sentenced to 20 years in jail and fined 40 million Riel (10,000 US$).
Kor Vandy, Presiding Judge at Phnom Penh Municipal Court, spelled out the convictions to Singaporean to whom identified as Chhor Huykeat, 50, and two Cambodians Tan Chikeng, 57 and Muth Bunnath, 50.
The three convicts were arrested on Nov. 20, 2014 by Anti-Transnational Crime Police from Ministry of Interior.
