Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 13 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet affirmed that the Royal Government's foremost principle since previous mandates is good governance, which entails maintaining the Royal Government’s cleanliness to effectively serve the people.

The premier spoke on Tuesday (Feb. 13) during the annual meeting of the Ministry of Inspection at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet underscored, "In the Pentagon Strategy of the seventh-mandate Royal Government, as well as the previous Rectangular Strategy, the foremost core is good governance. Good governance entails keeping our house clean. Before inspecting other people's houses, we must ensure our own house is clean and conducive so that we can effectively serve the people. This principle must continue."

The task of governance must persist from one mandate to another, and the Ministry of Inspection has played a crucial role among civil servants in ensuring that ministries and institutions, from the national to the sub-national level, maintain cleanliness for effective management.
