Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 26 – Prior to the official meeting with his Cambodian counterpart, Mr. Hor Namhong, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry praised Cambodia for its development.
The U.S. Chief Diplomat said that Cambodia, although a small country, is developing very fast. He also thanked Cambodia for the establishment of the Extraordinary Chambers in the Court of Cambodia, a special tribunal to try former senior Khmer Rouge leaders that receives international assistance through the United Nations.
Hor Namhong warmly welcomed Kerry and responded that his first visit to Cambodia would further promote and strengthen good Cambodia-U.S. relations.
