PHNOM PENH (FN), Jan. 26 — Khmer Rouge tribunal announced Jan.26 a projected spending of close to $59 million for its operation over a two-year period of this year and next year.
According to a statement released by the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, the budget breakdown would be $32.2 million for 2016 and another $26.5 million for 2017.
“We welcome the endorsement of the new budget, and strongly appeal to the donor community to provide necessary financial support for the implementation of this work plan", said Acting Director of the Office of Administration Kranh Tony and Deputy Director Knut Rosandhaug in the statement.
