PHNOM PENH (FN), Feb.1 — Acting President of the opposition party left Cambodia at 8:20 am today, on Feb.1, for Thailand to get medical check in Bangkok’s hospital, party official said.
Yem Ponharith, spokesperson for the National Rescue Party said the vice-president of the CNRP, Kem Sokha, will not be on any mission and that he goes to Bangkok just for a normal medical check. He is scheduled to be back to Cambodia tomorrow, said Ponarith.
Sources said Kem Sokha left for Bangkok at 8:20 am on PG 928 but were not sure if he would go on to any other country.
Some senior officials of CNRP said they were not aware of overseas trip of Kem Sokha for medical check.
