Phnom Penh (FN), May. 7 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet stated that the implementation of the National Single Window (NSW) system exemplified the Royal Government's proactive and responsible approach to enhancing the business environment in Cambodia, speaking on Tuesday (May 7) during an official launching ceremony of the system at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel.

The National Single Window System marks another significant achievement of the Royal Government in its endeavours to improve the business environment, bolster trade, and stimulate economic growth in Cambodia. This system enables importers, exporters, and agents to apply for licenses, permits, certificates, and other documents (LPCO) through the online CNSW portal; relevant government agencies processes and approves these applications in the same portal.

"This pivotal system underscored the Royal Government's proactive and responsible efforts to enhance the business and investment environment in Cambodia," the premier underscored.

On behalf of the Royal Government of Cambodia, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet expressed gratitude and appreciation to the chairman, vice chairman, and all members of the Steering Committee of the NSW for their collaborative efforts in developing and implementing this project, which has now proven successful.

Samdech Thipadei underlined that the Royal Government has consistently prioritised improving the business and investment environment, as well as trade facilitation. This commitment is evidenced by policies, strategies, programs, reform measures, and legal standards aimed at continuous and practical implementation.

The implementation of the NSW system today constitutes a significant contribution to enhancing the business environment and promoting business activities in Cambodia. It aims to enhance quality, transparency, efficiency, and investor trust, while also bringing public services closer to consumers through the adoption of automated systems and technology, streamlining procedures, reducing time, and associated costs.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Hun Manet viewed this achievement as part of ongoing reforms and the modernisation of tax administration, aimed at enhancing revenue management efficiency, fostering fair competition in business and investment, and reducing the burden of tax compliance and procedures. The NSW system is poised to play a crucial role in the digital business ecosystem, enhancing trade facilitation and fostering connectivity with the digital ecosystems of other businesses in the region and globally.
