Phnom Penh (FN), Jul. 9 – The Alliance des Patronats Francophones (APF) pledged to provide detailed information about investment opportunities in Cambodia to investors from French-speaking countries, encouraging them to invest in the kingdom.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy call by President of Alliance des Patronats Francophones (APF) Geoffroy Roux De Bezieux on Monday (Jul. 8) at the Peace Palace.

During the meeting, the APF President informed the premier about the excellent partnership as well as the connection between the private sectors of the two countries, and through his current visit to Cambodia, he will continue to promote and share information about Cambodia to French-speaking investors to invest more in Cambodia.

The APF President also informed Samdech Thipadei about the organization of the Francophone Summit in October 2024 in France. He also conveyed France's full support for Cambodia's bid to host the Francophone Summit in 2026, expressing hope that Cambodia will be selected.

For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet warmly welcomed Geoffroy Roux De Bézieux and his delegation to Cambodia. He commended the strong relations and cooperation between Cambodia and France, highlighting the robust connections between their private sectors.

He also underlined the need to strengthen and expand Cambodian-French cooperation, and reiterated his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron during his official visit to France in January 2024. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the initiative to establish a regional French Cultural and Language Centre in Cambodia.

On the occasion, Premier Hun Manet expressed his pleasure at the presence of French companies investing in Cambodia, reflecting strong confidence from French investors. He hopes for further development of the private sector connections between the two countries. He also thanked the French government for supporting Cambodia's bid to host the 2026 Francophone Summit.

During the meeting, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet also briefed the APF President and the delegation on the implementation of policies to ensure a better business environment and ensure Cambodia's competitiveness through the implementation of investment laws and the introduction of a flexible mechanism to provide support and respond to the needs of investors and the private sector in Cambodia.
