Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 23 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet met with Tran Thanh Man, Chairman of the National Assembly of Viet Nam, on 22 November 2024 on the occasion of his official visit and participation in the 12th ICAPP General Assembly and related meetings in Cambodia.

During the meeting, the Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman commended the Royal Government of Cambodia’s strong and innovative progress during the 7th legislative term. He expressed confidence that, under Samdech Thipadei's leadership, Cambodia will sustain its development trajectory and achieve its vision of becoming a high-income country by 2050.

He also expressed satisfaction with the strong relations and cooperation between Viet Nam and Cambodia. He pledged to further enhance collaboration between the legislative bodies of both nations and voiced support for strengthening ties across ministries and institutions.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed satisfaction with the progress and development of bilateral relations across all sectors, including collaboration between the legislative bodies. He welcomed the commitment to further strengthen and expand cooperation for mutual prosperity.

The discussion also highlighted key areas for enhanced collaboration, including trade and investment, tourism, security and defence, and people-to-people ties.
