Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 11 – Three warships of the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) will dock in Sihanoukville Port, approximately 210 km southwest of Phnom Penh next week, according to a press release issued by Embassy of Japan to Cambodia.

The fleet that consists of AKEBONO, HATEKZE, YAMAYUKI and is headed by captain KAZU HIKO MIZOE will visit Cambodia from Feb. 17-20, 2016, said the press released received on Feb.11.

The Japanese Embassy announced that the visit of the JMSDF ships to Cambodia was intended for training and leisure as well as strengthening and promoting Japan-Cambodia relationship through various exchange programs. It would provide opportunity to fresh graduates to get to know about Cambodia’s culture and navy.

During the visit, Captain KAZU HIKO MIZOE will also visit Phnom Penh to call on Cambodian Navy Commander on Feb. 18 and also visit Ream Navy Base, Sihanoukville Provincial Court, and Sihanoukville Port, continued the press release.

The arrival greeting ceremony will be held on Feb. 17 from 10:30 A.M to 10:45 A.M at the Preah Sihanoukville old Port.
