Samdech Techo underlined that Qatar’s ties with ASEAN, particularly through its accession to the TAC, and the significance of air connectivity between the Middle East and Southeast Asia. He thanked Qatar Airways for its daily flights to Cambodia, which contribute to fostering people-to-people relations and attracting investors.

In addition, Samdech Techo expressed his admiration for Qatar’s successful hosting of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which further elevated the country’s prominence on the global stage.

For his part, the Qatar's foreign minister thanked Samdech Techo for his remarks and affirmed that Qatar places great importance on its relations with friendly countries, including Cambodia and ASEAN.

He underlined Qatar's interest in exploring investment opportunities in Cambodia's agricultural sector and the upcoming trade agreement would further encourage investment in the country.
