Kandal (FN), Dec. 17 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet encouraged the private sector to collaborate in developing the eastern Mekong River region to achieve further progress.
The premier spoke on Tuesday (Dec. 17) at the groundbreaking ceremony for the “Mekong Quay City” development project in Akreiy Ksatr City, Kandal Province.
“I would like to encourage other private sectors to contribute to the development of our eastern region to achieve further progress,” the premier underscored.
Samdech Thipadei noted that these development initiatives are not only aimed at enhancing infrastructure but also at improving the capital’s infrastructure and citizens’ livelihoods.
On the occasion, the premier expressed his belief that today’s promotion and encouragement mark the initial step towards sustained development in the eastern region over the coming years, which will boost the potential of surrounding areas.
The Royal Government welcomes the participation of the private sector in national development, enabling both the country and its people to achieve rapid progress.
The Mekong Quay City project is located in Akreiy Ksatr City, on the eastern bank of the Mekong River, opposite the Koh Norea development project. It is a joint venture between TP Moral Group (TPMG) and Khun Sea Group.
