SIEM REAP, Cambodia (FN), Feb. 15 — The Phnom Penh Municipal Court on Monday’s afternoon convicted absentia Mr. Sok Bun, 38, General Director of Sok Bun Group , to three years but the term of his imprisonment was carried out only ten months , the rest of his sentences was suspended, and a fine: $1500.

Mrs. Sour Lina, Judge of Phnom Penh Municipal Court, said that in this case, Mr. Sok Bun was charged by municipal court’s prosecutor under article 218 of penal code. He was arrested by Ministry of Interior’s penal police unit on 18th July 2015 after he had escaped abroad after allegedly beating Ms Sasa on July 2, 2015 midnight. He was sued by Sasa on 3rd July 2016.

She added that but Sasa had withdrawn her lawsuit on 4th December 2015 after there was a compromise and the agreement between the two parties.
