Phnom Penh (FN), November 2 - The 1st day of the Royal Water Festival attracted about 500,000 to 600,000 people, according to a report by the National Police Commission on Thursday night.

Phnom Penh Municipal Police Chief Choun Sovann told Fresh News that at this moment, the general situation is good.

According to the report, there were 1 stolen case, and 14 accidents with 1 loss of mobile phone, 1 gas explosion, 3 injuries, 3 mothers wandering, and 10 boat sinks.

According to this year’s record, wind and strong waves cause boat sink to increase 8 times compared to 2016, but no injuries, with a rescue and check up of 1,923 patients (389 females), two were rescued from road accidents and three were sent to hospitals.

The Royal Water Festival held from November 2 to 4, 2017, with 270 boats.
