(Kandal): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet affirmed that, in his capacity as head of government, he has no time to entertain movements that seek to undermine the nation. His full focus is on national development and improving the living standards of the people.

The premier spoke on Tuesday (May 6) at the groundbreaking ceremony for the sewerage system development project in Ta Khmau Town, Kandal province.

Samdech Thipadei underlined that, over more than 40 years of Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) leadership—continuing into the current mandate—there has been no pause, only tireless efforts to deliver tangible results. These include advancements in infrastructure, seaports, airports, wastewater management, and the implementation of policies aimed at attracting investment and creating employment. He also spoke of efforts to organise production chains in various factories, contributing to the broader development agenda.

The premier further emphasised that significant achievements have been delivered to the people in response to their needs—such as the construction of roads that ease travel, reduce costs, and save time. All of these are the fruits of our people-centred achievements under the leadership of the Cambodian People’s Party.

“Whoever attempts to obstruct progress or undermine these accomplishments—that is their own concern. But I believe our people are weary of instability. At the end of the day, we value peace and stability above all else. Cambodia will not fall back, as long as we preserve peace, unity, and non-violence. Together, we will continue advancing, building further achievements for the benefit of all,” the premier underscored.
