(Phnom Penh): Lim Chea Vutha, Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Fresh News, officially announced the launch of Fresh AI, Cambodia’s first intelligent news application in the Khmer language. This innovative platform features a comprehensive database encompassing both national and international news.

Fresh AI enables users to ask questions related to current events in Cambodia and around the world. The platform is powered by a custom-built dataset of more than 400 million words, equivalent to over 500,000 articles, accumulated over approximately 11 years (2014 to 2025). The system is updated daily to maintain accuracy and continuously enhance its intelligence.

The application delivers rapid and concise answers by summarising key information and presenting multiple relevant articles.

Lim Chea Vutha, also CEO of CoolApp messaging platform, underscored, “Fresh AI is a chatbot application designed specifically for news-related questions and answers. It is the first AI-powered news platform in Cambodia and a new innovation developed by our team of Cambodian technical experts. This represents a proud achievement for our country, having a homegrown AI news tool. We will continue to expand and refine the system by adding new content daily. This initial version is a trial release, and further enhancements will follow.”

He added, “We now have three major technological accomplishments: the Fresh News platform, the CoolApp messaging application, and the intelligent Fresh AI platform.”
