(Phnom Penh): Cambodian President of the Senate, Samdech Techo Hun Sen accepted the role of Supreme Commander of Logistics of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF), following a request from frontline commanders stationed along the Cambodia–Thailand border, Senate Spokesperson Chea Thyrith told Fresh News on Thursday (Jun. 26).
On Thursday morning (Jun. 26), Samdech Techo Hun Sen visited Cambodian troops currently standing firm in defence of the nation’s territorial sovereignty along the Thai border. During the visit, all military commanders requested that Samdech Techo assume the role of Supreme Commander of Logistics within the RCAF.
Chea Thyrith added that Samdech Techo Hun Sen accepted the request from all commanding officers who had appealed for his leadership in this capacity.
Samdech Techo affirmed his acceptance of the role and advised all commanders not to hesitate or show reluctance in the face of threats from enemies or adversaries. He also reassured them that they need not worry about logistical support when undertaking operations to protect the nation's territorial integrity and sovereignty from any intrusion.
