RATANAKIRI (FN), Feb. 24 — For a single-night stay by Thai princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at Beung Yeak Lorm resort in North-Eastern Cambodia province of Ratanakiri, about 500km north of Phnom Penh, a toilet costing around $40,000 was built.
It took 19 days for the Thai construction firm, SCG Group to complete the eight-square meter, air-conditioned toilet. According to a local media outlet, this toilet was built just for the visiting Thai princess, and after she goes back to Thailand, it will be dismantled.
Thailand's Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn arrived in Cambodian on Monday morning for a 3-day visit to a number of places with her funded-projects in the fields of education and health.
