(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and a high-level delegation departed Phnom Penh on Wednesday (Jun. 17) for the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit, to be held from 17-18 June 2026 in Kazan, Russian Federation.
The participation was made at the invitation of Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation.
In celebration of the 35th Anniversary of ASEAN-Russia Dialogue Relations, the summit serves as an important opportunity to chart the course for further advancing the ASEAN-Russia Strategic Partnership.
According to the Foreign Ministry’s press release dated 15 June 2026, the leaders will also exchange views on regional and international issues of common interest and concern, thereby contributing to the promotion of peace, stability, and prosperity in the region and beyond.
Samdech Thipadei will attend other side events and have several bilateral meetings to further enhance bilateral and multilateral relations and promote cooperation in areas of shared interest and mutual benefit.
