(Beijing): China's Fujian Jinlu Daily Chemical Co., Ltd. expressed its intention to invest in a household goods manufacturing factory in Cambodia, citing the kingdom's strong economic potential and favourable investment environment.
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy all from Fu Laifa, Director of Southeast Asian Affairs at Fujian Jinlu Daily Chemical Co., Ltd., on Wednesday (Jul. 15) in Beijing.
During the meeting, Fu briefed the prime minister on the company's operations, noting that Fujian Jinlu is a leading manufacturer of household consumer products, including insecticides, laundry detergents, tissue paper, and kitchen essentials. He said the company is seeking to establish a manufacturing facility in Cambodia to serve the growing domestic market.
For his part, Prime Minister Hun Manet welcomed the company’s interest in exploring investment opportunities in Cambodia. He emphasized that the Royal Government of Cambodia has placed strong attention on promoting domestic manufacturing to reduce reliance on imported consumer goods.
He added that the proposed factory aligns with Cambodia's industrial development goals and noted that, if successfully implemented and expanded, the project could eventually supply both the domestic market and regional export markets.
On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei encouraged the company to continue working closely with relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions to advance the proposal and turn the investment plan into a concrete project.
