(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn will lead a delegation to attend the 59th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM) and related meetings, to be held from 18 to 23 July 2026 in Manila, the Republic of the Philippines, at the invitation of Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines, according to a press release seen by Fresh News on Friday (Jul. 17).

Under the theme “Navigating our Future, Together”, the 59th AMM and Related Meetings will provide an important platform to discuss and follow up the outcomes of the 48th ASEAN Summit.

The Meetings will also allow ASEAN and its external partners to exchange views on regional and international developments in the context of the increasingly complex and rapidly evolving geopolitical landscape.

Following the 59th AMM and related meetings, Minister Prak Sokhonn will participate in the Commemorative Activity of the 50th Anniversary of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC).

The event marks five decades of the treaty, which has served as a cornerstone of regional peace, stability, and rules-based cooperation, reaffirming ASEAN's enduring principles in an evolving regional and global landscape.

The minister will also attend other meetings under the Mekong framework and the 5th Conference on Cooperation among East Asian Countries for Palestinian Development.

On the sidelines of the meetings, the minister will also engage in bilateral meetings with various counterparts to further promote and deepen bilateral relations and cooperation.
