(Phnom Penh): Bilateral trade between Cambodia and Viet Nam reached USD 5.353 billion in the first seven months of 2026, an increase of 8.2 per cent from USD 4.947 billion during the same period last year, according to the General Department of Customs and Excise.

Cambodia's exports to Viet Nam rose 12.4 percent to USD 2.732 billion, up from USD 2.431 billion a year earlier. Meanwhile, imports from Viet Nam increased 4.2 percent to USD 2.620 billion, compared with USD 2.516 billion during the same period in 2025.

Cambodia's key exports to Viet Nam included paddy rice, rubber, cashew nuts, cassava, corn, bananas, mangoes and tobacco. Vietnamese imports included construction materials, machinery, fuel, electronic and electrical equipment, fertilisers, spices, and fruits and vegetables.

Cambodia and Viet Nam established diplomatic relations on 24 June 1967. Relations were severed in March 1970 before being restored in January 1979. The two countries have set a target of increasing bilateral trade to USD 20 billion in the coming years.
