(Phnom Penh): The Cambodian Senate Commission on Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Information firmly rejected allegations by its Thai counterpart, reaffirming Cambodia’s sovereignty and calling for border disputes to be resolved through international law, existing treaties and peaceful diplomatic mechanisms.

In a statement dated 5 September 2026, Commission Chairman Chhiv Yiseang categorically dismissed remarks made on 2 September by Senator Nophadol In-na, Chairman of the Thai Senate Advisory Commission on Foreign Affairs.
