(Phnom Penh): At the invitation of Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, U Min Aung Hlaing, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, will pay a State Visit to Cambodia from 11 to 12 September 2026, according to a press release seen by Fresh News on Thursday (Sep. 10).
During the visit, U Min Aung Hlaing will hold a summit meeting with Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Acting Head of State, and hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Hun Manet.
The leaders of the two countries will discuss ways to strengthen their close relations and expand mutually beneficial cooperation, as well as exchange views on various regional and international issues of common interest.
The president of Myanmar will lay wreaths at the Independence Monument and at the Royal Statue of Norodom Sihanouk, "Preah Borom Ratanak Kaudh", the late King-Father of Cambodia.
The state visit of U Min Aung Hlaing reaffirms the shared commitment to further strengthening the warm bonds of friendship between the two countries and peoples.
