(Sihanoukville): On 11 September 2026, the Training Ship “Perekop” of the Baltic Fleet of the Russian Navy docked at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port for a two-day unofficial visit to Cambodia.
Representatives of the Royal Cambodian Navy welcomed the ship at the pier, while Russian Ambassador to Cambodia Anatoly Borovik participated in the official welcoming ceremony.
During the visit, the ship’s command is scheduled to pay a series of protocol visits to Cambodian civil and military officials. Russian sailors and cadets will also visit tourist attractions in Sihanoukville and Phnom Penh and take part in a friendly football match with their Cambodian counterparts.
Members of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, along with students and teachers from the Russian Embassy School, will also be given a tour of the Russian training ship.
The Training Ship “Perekop” is scheduled to depart from the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port on September 12 following a farewell ceremony.
The ship last visited Sihanoukville in November 2019.
