South Korea (FN), Jan. 26 – Cambodian Embassy in Korea assisted three female Cambodian workers working in agricultural sector in Miryang, South Korea, who have been severely abused by their employers.

Long Dimanche, Cambodian ambassador to Republic of Korea, told Fresh News on Friday afternoon that after receiving news about the abuse through Facebook Thursday, the embassy made inquiries and visited those Cambodian workers on Friday morning.

"The three workers arrived at Suwon safely today. At the same time, embassy staff working with Korean lawyers demanded permission from the employer to change their workplace and examine the possibility of legal proceedings”, stated Long Dimanche.

“The staff has introduced them to temporary residence of the Ministry of Labor and the Embassy to stay during the working shift and the three workers will apply for new jobs at foreign worker protection centers on Sunday or next Monday”, he added.

According to a female worker’s Facebook account, she describes the misery of living with the Korean boss, forcing her to commit physical abuse by exploiting her labor force.

She addressed her employer a "villain".
