(Phnom Penh): The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Phnom Penh hosted a special cultural performance entitled “The Film Delivery Man” on 18 September 2026 at the Chaktomuk Conference Hall in Phnom Penh, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The event brought together around 400 guests, including Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, as well as members of the Cambodian and Korean communities, representatives of cultural and friendship associations, and the members of the diplomatic and international community.
Presented by Team ICUVE from the Republic of Korea, “The Film Delivery Man” featured approximately 60 minutes of entertainment combining magic, breakdancing, and music in a unique way. By bringing together different artistic elements, the performance offered a fresh and accessible cultural experience for audiences of different generations and backgrounds.
In his welcoming remarks, Kim Chang Yong, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Kingdom of Cambodia, noted that the Embassy has introduced various aspects of Korean culture to audiences in Cambodia through cultural programs over the years, including Taekwondo demonstrations and traditional Korean music performances. He said that this performance was designed to offer a different kind of cultural experience.
Ambassador Kim also highlighted the importance of cultural exchange as a way to bring people and perspectives together. He expressed hope that the performance would provide another opportunity to celebrate the longstanding friendship between Cambodia and Korea and to create new memories and connections through culture.
The event also came at a meaningful time in Cambodia-Korea relations, as the two countries look ahead to an important milestone in their bilateral relationship. 2027 will mark the 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Over the past three decades, the two countries have continued to develop their relationship and upgraded it to “Strategic Partnership” in 2024. Cultural exchange has been an important pillar of this ever-growing relationship.
The Embassy will continue to work closely with Cambodian partners to promote cultural exchanges and create opportunities for Cambodian audiences to experience the diversity and creativity of Korean culture.
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea expresses its appreciation to Phoeurng Sackona and the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, as well as all participating institutions, organizations, guests, and partners, for their valuable support in making the event possible.
