Phnom Penh (FN), April 24 – China's Guangxi Provincial Governor Chen Wu paid a courtesy on Prime Minister Hun Sen on Tuesday at the Peace Palace, Phnom Penh to discuss on the development of port in Kampot, which is believed to be a new corridor under One Road One Belt Initiative.

The premier also emphasized that the National Road 3 will be expanded with the presence of hydropower station.

Chen Wu highly commended Cambodia's development. His visiting purposes are to invite the premier to attend the 15th the ASEAN-China Expo in Nanning, to be held in mid-November; and to inform the Cambodia-Guangxi bilateral cooperation, according to Eang Sophalleth, Personal Secretary to Prime Minister.

Chen said Guangxi has urged Chinese investors to invest in Cambodia on sectors, such as broadcasting, television, rice milling, technology and tourism, particularly the direct flights from Guangxi to Phnom Penh and in the future to Siem Reap.

“If only 0.2 percent of the population in Guangxi province visit Cambodia, she will welcome 100,000 tourists,” Chen said.

Chen gifted 160,000 tons of rice to Prime Minister Hun Sen. In response, the premier pledged to attend the 15th ASEAN-China Expo in Nanning and support Chinese investement in Cambodia.
