Phnom Penh (FN), May 20 - The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) of the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training filed a lawsuit against Cambodian Confederation of Unions (CCU)'s president Rong Chhun, who incited workers that the NSSF's not accountable for workers who faced occupational risks, according to NSSF's letter of rejection dated on May 19.

Rong Chhun issued a statement expressing regret at the NSSF’s announcement on Friday stating that the workers’ fainting is a personal issue, according to CCU's statement dated on Saturday.

He stated that the NSSF's notice was an irresponsible disclaimer of workers which violates article 248 and 256 of chapter 9 of labor law.

NSSF counterclaimed that they have responsibility for the workers and take action against any person who violates the rights and benefits of workers.

Workers can receive medical services with free of charge at every heath center cooperated with the NSSF.
