Phnom Penh (FN), May 21 – National Election Committee (NEC) issued a press release on Monday regarding the roles and duties of national and international electoral observers for the National Assembly 6th mandate election will be held on July 29, 2018.

“The Code of Conduct of Electoral Observers aims to set out important measures for Non-Governmental Organizations, associations, and election observers to fulfill their duties in neutral and impartial position,” the NEC wrote in the press release.

So far, 20 parties have registered to race in the election. The NEC has officially recognized five parties and is reviewing the applications of the other 15.
