Singapore (FN), June 1 — During the 17th Asia Security Summit in Singapore on Friday afternoon, Deputy Prime Minister Tea Banh accompanied by General Director for Department-General of Policy and Foreign Affairs Nem Sowath met with Singapore's Defense Minister Ng Eng Hen at Shangri-La hotel, Singapore.

In the bilateral meeting, Ng Eng Hen raised the issue of terrorism that occurred in Indonesia and he considered this issue as an attack on ASEAN.

"Is Cambodia at risk of terrorism?" Singaporean Defense minister asked.

"No terrorism occurred in Cambodia due to a religious harmony and a good control over country’s gateways”, stated Cambodian defense minister.

He added that the Royal Government of Cambodia has paid close attention to prevent the terrorism and he has also engaged in anti-terrorism training.

The Singaporean Defense Minister said that the 17th Asia Security Summit in 2018 will focus on Indo-Pacific issues.

The two ministers has exchanged ideas about the ASEAN Defense Ministers Meeting Plus (ADMM-Plus).

ADMM Plus Meeting was held with China, Japan and the United States.
