KATHMANDU, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- A helicopter carrying at least six people including Nepal's Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Rabindra Adhikari went missing in eastern Nepal Wednesday afternoon, local media reported quoting a government official.
Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs Prem Kumar Rai confirmed with local media that the helicopter carrying Minister Adhikari and five others has gone missing.
It was reported that under secretary of the Prime Minister's Office Yubaraj Dahal and Ang Tshiring Sherpa of Air Dynasty were also onboard. Minister Adhikari and his team were on an inspection visit of a domestic airport.
The incident comes at a time when the snowfall has affected various parts of the country's hilly region since Tuesday.
