(Sputnik): Presidents Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed Ukraine in a phone call.

According to the Kremlin, Putin said:

- Russia is ready for dialogue with the Ukrainian authorities and other countries to resolve the situation peacefully.

- Moscow is hoping Kiev will have a more constructive approach at the next round of talks with Russia.

- The special operation is proceeding as planned. Russia is targeting only the military infrastructure and taking utmost care to avoid any harm to civilians.

- The operation can be suspended only if Kiev stops military activities and agrees to Russia's demands.

- Russia is ready to help evacuate Turkish citizens from Ukraine.
