UNITED NATIONS, Sep 13 (AFP) - U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Tuesday urged Armenia and Azerbaijan to urgently de-escalate tensions after the neighbors' worst fighting since their 2020 war.

Guterres called on the two sides "to take immediate steps to deescalate tensions, exercise maximum restraint and resolve any outstanding issues through dialogue and within existing formats," according to spokesman Stephane Dujarric.
