SINGAPORE, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- Singapore reported 2,686 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing the total tally to 2,121,435.
Of the new cases, 299 were detected through PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests and 2,387 through ARTs (antigen rapid test),

according to statistics released by the Ministry of Health.

Among the PCR cases, 282 were local transmissions and 17 were imported cases. Among the ART cases with mild symptoms and assessed to be of low risk, there were 2,265 local transmissions and 122 imported cases.

A total of 378 cases are currently warded in hospitals, with 16 in intensive care units.
One new death from COVID-19 was reported on Saturday, bringing the total death toll to 1,686.
