Manila (FN), Feb. 11 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy call by Ramon S. Ang, President and CEO of San Miguel Corporation, on 10 February 2025 in Manila, the Philippines.
During the meeting, Ramon S. Ang informed Samdech Thipadei that San Miguel Corporation is a leading company in physical infrastructure, food and beverages, energy, and petroleum refining. Notably, the company built and operates Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
At the same time, Ramon S. Ang also expressed the company’s interest in investing in major infrastructure projects in Cambodia by expanding collaborations with local businesses. He underlined Cambodia’s competitive advantages, including fertile land, a skilled workforce, and a strategic geographical location that facilitates regional and global connectivity.
For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet welcomed San Miguel Corporation’s interest and outlined the vast potential for investment in Cambodia’s large-scale infrastructure projects, including expressways that enhance connectivity within the country and across the region. He also briefed the company on key strategic sectors, highlighting agriculture as a priority area for investment. He encouraged San Miguel Corporation to explore opportunities at various stages of the supply chain to connect with regional and global markets.
On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei reaffirmed the Royal Government of Cambodia’s commitment to supporting and facilitating a favorable business environment to attract investment and ensure the success of companies operating in Cambodia.
