Pyongyang, June 10 (KCNA): Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and president of the People's Republic of China, on a state visit to the DPRK, laid a flower basket at the Friendship Tower on June 9.
Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, together with his wife Ri Sol Ju came to the Friendship Tower to greet Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan.
Accompanying Xi Jinping were Cai Qi, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau, member of the Secretariat and director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau and director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee and minister of Foreign Affairs, and other entourage members and Wang Yajun, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK.
Present there were Kim Jae Ryong and Ri Il Hwan, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau and secretaries of the WPK Central Committee, and other leading officials of the Party and the government.
The guard of honor of the Korean People's Army lined up in front of the Friendship Tower filled with the respect for the martyrs of the Chinese People's Volunteers, excellent sons and daughters of the Chinese nation and true comrades-in-arms of the Korean people.
The national anthems of the PRC and the DPRK were played.
A flower basket in the name of Xi Jinping, general secretary of the C.C., CPC and president of the PRC, was laid there.
Written on the ribbon of the flower basket were letters reading "The martyrs of the Chinese People's Volunteers will be immortal".
The top leaders of the two countries, together with the participants, paid a silent tribute to the memory of the CPV martyrs who displayed the matchless bravery and self-sacrificing spirit in the Korean people's sacred war to repel the imperialists' armed invasion.
There took place a march-past of the KPA guard of honor.
Xi Jinping looked round inside of the tower, an immortal symbol of the DPRK-China friendship.
Kim Jong Un briefed Xi Jinping on the historic data, photos and oil paintings showing the brave CPV fighters who courageously made an entry into the Korean front in the genuine internationalism and fraternity, fought bloody battles shoulder to shoulder with the Korean people and rendered sincere aids to the post-war rehabilitation and construction.
Turning over the leaves of the list of fallen CPV fighters, Xi Jinping recollected them, who clearly demonstrated the militant friendship and the spirit of comradely cooperation of the peoples in the two countries, linked with the same destiny, and are still alive in their mind as the noble icon of friendship.
Saying that the days when the peoples of the two countries were in the same trench for battles, sharing life and death, sweets and bitters, are recorded as an eternal event in history, a record that can never be discolored and erased even after many years, the top leaders of the two countries expressed the same opinion on the need to jointly preserve and manage the memorial facilities dedicated to the fallen CPV martyrs well, deepen education in the revolutionary tradition and ideology and morality among the young people and carry forward the traditional DPRK-China friendship generation after generation.

Being honored to have the great leaders of the two parties on its campus soon after it marked its 80th founding anniversary, the school, the supreme political one of the DPRK, was filled with a warm atmosphere for welcoming them at a historic time when communication, concerted action and close cooperation between the two ruling parties of the two countries constantly advancing under the banner of socialism have been placed on a new strategic level.

A teacher presented a bouquet to Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, in welcome of his visit to the school.

Kim Jong Un briefed Xi Jinping on the history of the school which has contributed to the cause of building the working-class party by performing its sacred mission and role to guarantee the lifeline and future of the Party for a long period of the Korean revolution.

Xi Jinping appreciated that the school was wonderfully built as befits the pedigree establishment for training the backbone, guarantors of the permanent future of the socialist ruling party, and it has concentrated its efforts on arming itself with theories and spirit and improving its qualifications for training Party cadres while deeply imbuing the students with the innovative ideas and theories of the WPK.
The students expressed gratitude to the top leaders of the two parties with loud applause for their visit to the school on the occasion of great importance in the history of the development of the DPRK-China relations in the new era, which would remain in the memory forever.
The top leaders of the two parties took an electric car to go round the campus of the school while exchanging open-hearted views on the system of training future party cadres and educational system and contents peculiar to the party school.
They expressed their willingness to exert common efforts to make the party cadres training schools play a proper role in strengthening the parties together while exchanging in depth the excellent party-building experience and earnestly learning from each other by further boosting exchange and cooperation between the two parties of the DPRK and China.
Kim Jong Un and Xi Jinping planted a tree together in commemoration of their visit to the school.
A fir tree took root in the sacred land, conveying the noble intention of the top leaders of the two parties to open up a new chapter of firm comradely friendship, revolutionary unity and sincere support and cooperation between the two parties and peoples of the two countries and cultivate a more beautiful and rosier future.
A monument to the meaningful tree-planting was unveiled.
When Kim Jae Ryong, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau and secretary of the WPK Central Committee, and Cai Qi, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau, member of the Secretariat and director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, unveiled the monument together, leading officials and entourages of both sides and teaching staff and students of the school warmly clapped, looking up to the top leaders who are glorifying the new era of the development of the friendly relations between the two parties and two countries.
Inscribed in the monument were the letters in Korean and Chinese reading "DPRK-China friendship will be evergreen. Tree planted by Kim Jong Un and Xi Jinping on June 9, 2026".

The top leaders of the two countries and their wives exchanged warm greetings and took an electric car. They had a chat full of friendship and fraternity on the electric car running the garden covered with green foliage at the Kumsusan State Guesthouse.
