Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 20 - The Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) fifth-term Central Committee’s 41st Convention met from 18 to 20 December 2018 under the high presidency of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, CPP President, Samdech Akka Moha Punhea Chakrey Heng Samrin, CPP Honorary President, and members of the Central Committee Permanent Commission, according to the CPP’s communique released on Thursday.

The Convention proceeded successfully in conformity to the pre-determined agenda, and has made important decisions.

“The Convention agreed to uphold frank patriotism, spirit, resolutely defends independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity against foreign interferences into Cambodian internal affairs, and against the slandering of Cambodia’s political righteousness and actions subservient to no external pressures,” CPP wrote.

“The Convention is determined to defend and strengthen firm rooting of democratic process in Cambodia based on guaranteeing peace and development, while keeping national identity, dignity, national tradition and customs, and building harmony in society,” it added.
