The agreement was made Tuesday in an annual meeting held at the ministry between Defense Ministry of Cambodia, represented by Lieu. Gen. Soun Samnang and US Indo-Pacific Command, represented by Colonel Scott Burnside.
According to Soun Samnang, the meeting has agreed on several programs related to training for Cambodia’s peacekeeping forces before mission, health programs and joint training on the searching of remains of US troops, as well as education and training for Royal Cambodian Armed Forces’ officers at the Asia-Pacific Security Institute in Hawaii, United States.
He added that the cooperation had been reduced from 100 to less than 10 activities, compared to 2016, as Cambodia was hectic with the elections.
