Tokyo, Japan (FN), May 31 - Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe welcomed the measures taken by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen to reduce costs of inputs that create enabling environment for investment, speaking in a bilateral meeting with Cambodia's Hun Sen in Tokyo on Friday, according to delegate minister Kao Kim Hourn.

"Abe welcomed the Japanese investment in Cambodia, and appreciated the government's measure to create enabling investment climate," delegate minister quoted Abe.

Abe also urged the Premier to promote competition and recommended Cambodia to utilize mechanisms of the Japan-Cambodia Joint Committee to resolve the challenges.

Japanese Prime Minister also highlighted Japan's interest on port development  in Sihanoukville, and cooperation with Cambodia to study the Master Plan on  Port through talks between JICA and port authority in Sihanoukville.

The Japanese Prime Minister reiterated the commitment to promote training of human resources; and provide grant aids and concessional loans for infrastructure development, laborers, and culture.
