Phnom Penh (FN), June 19 - Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen received a farewell call from Ingo Karsten, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kingdom of Cambodia, on Wednesday at the Peace Palace.
According to the Premier’s personal secretary Eang Sophalleth, Ingo Karsten had witnessed Cambodia’s rapid socio-economic growth.
He also expressed his pleasure working with Cambodia, and has been a good partner for Cambodia's development process, especially the efforts to bring in German investors to Cambodia.
"What the ambassador has addressed was the result of Cambodia’s achievement thanks to two strategies. Transforming war zone into a development area with security, friendship, development and cooperation; and transform border into trade areas,” said Prime Minister Hun Sen.
Prime Minister expressed gratitude to Ingo and the Government of Germany, as well as the German people, who have always helped Cambodia in many sectors, particularly demining and rural development sector.
Prime Minister Hun Sen also asked Germany to continue supporting Cambodia’s mine action and ASEAN Regional Mine Action Center (ARMAC).
