Phnom Penh (FN), Sept. 29 – H.E. Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, delivered statement at the 74th Session of the General Debate of the United Nations General Assembly on 28 September 2019.

Minister Prak Sokhonn stated that “despite its clear provision, interference has been common and proliferating against what was enshrined in the UN Charter.”

“An authorization to interfere in the affairs of a sovereign state has been introduced into international law, but only for humanitarian reasons. It is indeed deceptive and deceitful that humanitarian reasons were used as pretext to interfere in domestic affairs and even to provoke some regime changes by undemocratic means,” he underlined.
