Banteay Meanchey (FN), Nov. 1 – Cambodia's three-type armed forces, including army, Royal Gendarmerie, and police have begun joint training on Friday to enhance security, public order, and safety in Banteay Meanchey province.

The military armed forced will mobilize from the First Zone Headquarter and Banteay Meanchey Provincial Gendarmerie Headquarter to gather at Police Commissariat, according to the press release of Banteay Meanchey Administration on 31 October 2019.

The provincial administration appealed to people living in the province not to be shocked and worried about the training.

Police forces were recently deployed at Poipet International Chekpoint to strengthen social order and security.

The deployment came after the convict Sam Rainsy declared to transport Cambodian workers from Thailand into Cambodia to support his coup plan to overthrow the legitimate government.

The Royal Government of Cambodia, the judiciary, and armed forces at all levels considered Sam Rainsy’s plot the most serious crimes, causing chaos to the nation and people.

They have declared to take legal actions against Rainsy and his accomplices to protect peace, stability, and social development.

So far, some of Sam Rainsy’s accomplices have been arrested and charged with conspiring to topple the government, facing sentences of five to ten years.

The Royal Government of Cambodia, through the Ministry of Justice, announced that those who conspired or involved in the plot would be punished intolerably; they must confess their crimes to be amnestied.
