Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 1 – The People's Liberation Army handed over two tons of medical equipment for fighting against Covid-19 to Cambodian Ministry of National Defence on Wednesday at Phnom Penh International Airport.

On 23 March, China’s seven-member expert team arrived Cambodia with tons of medical supplies including ventilators, medical masks, test kits and others.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Geng Shuang reiterated China’s commitment to help Cambodia, the ironclad friend, in fighting Covid-19.

“As Cambodia is facing a daunting task to contain the spread of Covid-19, it goes without saying that China will do its utmost to help in every possible way. This is not only an embodiment of the special ties between us, but is also fitting for our iron-clad friendship and community with a shared future,” Geng Shuang stated.

He continued that China will continue to work hand in hand with Cambodia to prevail over the pandemic and contribute to regional public health security.

China has subsequently aided Cambodia with batch of supplies including testing reagents, N95 respirators, disposable surgical masks, fluid-resistant isolation gowns and surgical gowns.
