Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 15 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said that at least 410,000 Cambodian citizens will receive COVID19 vaccines for free of charge during phase I, addressing Tuesday.

“The first prioritised group to get free vaccinations includes: garbage collectors, drivers, delivery people, religious group, athletes, army, police, educational administrations, health officers, tax officials, customs officers, court officials, prison officers, forestry administrators, competition and fraud officers, electricity officers, provincial council, provincial board of governors, municipal council, district council, commune/sangkat officials, village chiefs, members of the Institute of Vocational Training, Ministry of Labor officials, and higher education staff,” said Prime Minister Hun Sen.

The premier also stressed that Cambodia will buy COVID19 vaccines to serve at least 80 percent of its population, equivalent to about 13 million people.

He made it clear that the Cambodian government will only buy vaccines that are recognised by the World Health Organization.
