Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 21 – Five Cambodian patients living in Phnom Penh, Kandal and Sihanoukville died of COVID19 on 20 April 2021, according to the Ministry of Health's announcement dated Wednesday.

A 33-year-old Cambodian man was tested positive on 8 April 2021. He passed away at 7:30 on 20 April 2021.

A 52-year-old Cambodian woman was tested positive on 20 April 2021. She passed away at 6:00 on 20 April 2021.

A 66-year-old Cambodian woman living in Sihanoukville was tested positive on 19 April 2021. She passed away at 5:00 on 20 April 2021.

A 61-year-old Cambodian woman living in Kandal was tested positive on 12 April 2021. She had diabetes and passed away at 17:50 on 20 April 2021.

"The four patients passed away due to severe lung disease and respiratory crisis attacked by COVID19," the ministry confirmed.

A 63-year-old Cambodian man was tested positive on 18 April 2021. He had diabetes and high blood pressure. He passed away at 21:25 on 18 April 2021.

To date, Cambodia has registered 54 cases of COVID19 fatality.
